The Department of Otorhinolaryngology diagnoses and treats conditions of the ear, nose, face, and neck—vital and sensitive regions essential for normal social life that are vulnerable to diseases ranging from simple infections to serious cancers. Since opening in 2010, our department achieved the milestone of “1,000 thyroid surgeries in the shortest period” and now performs a wide range of procedures, from conventional open surgery to advanced endoscopic and robotic approaches. We actively treat not only thyroid cancer but also high-level head and neck cancers and various benign diseases. We are widely recognized by relevant academic societies for our proactive prevention and management of post-thyroidectomy voice changes, resulting in high patient satisfaction. We provide immediate diagnosis and treatment through same-day ultrasound and biopsy for lesions in the thyroid and other areas. In the field of head and neck cancers (excluding the eye)—including thyroid, oral, laryngeal, pharyngeal, nasal, paranasal sinus, and salivary gland cancers—we offer customized treatments based on extensive experience to minimize functional and structural sequelae. We determine the optimal treatment plan, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, through in-depth multidisciplinary discussions and, when necessary, collaboration with leading hospitals in Seoul. Our outpatient clinic is equipped for same-day endoscopy, allowing patients to directly monitor their pre- and post-treatment status on screens, facilitating easy follow-up. Beyond cancer, we actively treat common conditions such as allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, tinnitus, dizziness, tonsillitis, and lymph node disorders based on the latest medical evidence. We also operate a specialized “Voice Clinic” for patients with frequent voice changes, swallowing difficulties, or articulation disorders in children, striving to improve their quality of life. Our team members actively participate in academic conferences to acquire the latest knowledge and are dedicated to both clinical practice and academic research, working tirelessly toward the day when all otolaryngologic diseases are conquered.
