DIRAMS is a specialized hospital for science and technology under the Ministry of Science and ICT. We serve as a platform to provide specialized cancer care and apply the results of advanced biomedical research to clinical practice.

As a public health safety net, DIRAMS always puts people first. In this regard, DIRAMS incorporates the latest technology in cancer treatment, operates an integrated care service for all wards, and promptly implements government health policies. In addition, the Radiation Emergency Medical Center is the region's leading special disaster response organization, preparing for radiation accidents and disasters. The center operates the Radiation Impact Clinic, which provides radiation exposure and medical examinations for radiation workers, and conducts radiation education and medical services to alleviate anxiety and improve the health of residents in the nuclear power plant area.

In December 2023, we opened the Radiomedical Commercialization Center, which enhances research facilities to develop advanced cancer treatment technologies through the convergence of radiology and biology. It plays the role of an open platform shared with the region to accelerate the commercialization of science and technology and the training of physician-scientists

Building upon Korea Institute of Radiological Medical Sciences’ 60 years of experience in cancer treatment and research achievements, we will strive to effectively diagnose cancer and develop the latest treatments. Through these efforts, we will establish ourselves as a key institution in the radiation medicine industrial complex in the Southeast region.
