Health Examination Process

Health Examination Process

Day before the examination.
  • Please avoid overworking or drinking alcohol 2 or 3 days before the health examination.
  • In the case of a gastroscopy, do not intake any food, water, or gum from midnight. You may have a light meal for dinner. In the case of a colonoscopy, do not intake any food, water, or gum after 6pm.
  • Alert your doctor to any medication you are taking, such as antihypertensive drugs, antithrombotics, or anticoagulants. Your physician will advise you on taking these medications before the examination.
  • For females, During the menstrual period, gynecologic examination and urine examination are not allowed. Those tests can be performed in another visit after the menstrual period has ended. It is also necessary for women who had a hysterectomy to take a gynecologic examination.
Day before the examination.
  • Please bring the completed medical questionnaire and consent forms.
  • Please collect your stool in the stool cup that is provided by the center and bring it.
  • Please remove contact lenses and bring your glassesso that your visual acuity can be checked.
  • Please arrive on time for the appointment. For a prompt examination process, please bring yourpassport.
Note
  • Please do not wear jewelry which can interfere with examination or be lost.
  • When a conscious sedative endoscopy is performed, the client is not allowed to drive and should avoid work or exercise. A family member or friend must accompany the patient.
